The Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR) is seeking to appoint a Director, Policy, to provide leadership to the Employment and Inclusion Group strategic policy and policy coordination team to ensure achievement of key deliverables.

As a leader in the Employment and Inclusion group, reporting to the Executive Director, Policy and Strategy, you will:

• Lead a high-performing, and collaborative policy team to deliver timely and accurate ministerial, parliamentary, and legislative products relating to the work of the group.
• Provide expert advice and analysis of employment and labour market data, labour market programs and job creation and inclusion.
• Work collaboratively to support integrated, effective, and inclusive cross-government policies and strategic that support economic participation and inclusion.

An experienced, and collaborative leader, you will have a deep understanding of public policy, and extensive experience contributing to policy formulation and implementation of large-scale, whole of government projects in complex settings.

In this role you will pro-actively build and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that government priorities are incorporated as part of public policy.

A track record of developing constructive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, as well as a flexible approach to resolving issues will help you succeed in this role.
