POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director, South East Unit is responsible for managing the interface and engagement with the clinical and community mental health and AOD service systems in the south and east regions of Victoria. The role leads commissioning, manages service system performance and provides oversight of quality and safety of the current system, including changes implemented as a result of Royal Commission recommendations.

The Director leads a team of service and relationship management experts (RMEs) that work cross-functionally contributing critical operational knowledge to design and adaptation processes before these processes/ programs transition to service management.

The Director will need extensive knowledge and skills, acquired through formal (tertiary) training or relevant significant professional, specialist or management experience, to enable the depth of engagement required with senior stakeholders in the Victorian government (across Ministerial Offices and government departments), clinical and community mental health and AOD service systems.

Are you

  • Experienced in working collaboratively with diverse, senior stakeholders across a range of settings including government and mental health, AOD and health services?
  • Able to demonstrate high level expertise in engaging with the mental health, AOD and health service systems to ensure the delivery of high performing accessible, safe and high-quality services?
  • Skilled in leading in a complex environment, coordinating across functions and entities, with a strong focus on improving outcomes?
