The Digital Technology Services (DTS) Network & Communications Administrator supports the Network and Communications team in providing efficient, effective and sustainable management of Western Health’s network infrastructure. This will include assisting in ensuring high availability, optimal performance, robustness and security. The DTS Network & Communications Administrator will also support project and business as usual (BAU) activities (hands-on).


The role will perform a mixture of foundational network and unified communications tasks.  This position is responsible for providing design, implementation, maintenance and support of network systems and communications such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Internet, intranet, paging, voice/PABX, firewall and security, and other communications systems. The DTS Network & Communications Administrator is a telecommunications specialist who will deal with the interfacing of computer and communications equipment. They will be required to research, analyse, design, test and evaluate network systems to ensure that the hospital has the best possible networked environment for efficient and effective technology usage.
