The Digital Twin Victoria (DTV) team are on the look-out for talented, passionate people to join our growing team. Over the next three years DTV will be building the most comprehensive collection of rich, 3D spatial data ever assembled for Victoria.

This exciting new role will play a critical role in the programs' success by leading projects to enable the application of digital twins for asset management. You will own the program schedule and monitor and track progress to help things stay on track, including management of resources to ensure a balanced workload. You will have the opportunity to engage with and work alongside a diverse group of stakeholders to help refine and deliver a range of transformational, silo-breaking projects.

 Reporting to the Digital Twin Victoria Asset Management Lead, you will be responsible for: 

  • Playing a critical role in helping to redefine how the State of Victoria digitally supports and drives forward the way asset management data are sourced, captured and reused by establishing and leading a cross-functional team to deliver projects associated with DTV asset management workstream, including resource allocation and load balancing.
  • Leading delivery using agile and/or waterfall (where appropriate) of business outcomes and tracking against communicated milestones.
  • Designing and managing projects, including tasks definition, dependencies and development of a project schedule, progress reporting and project documentation, using both conventional and digital mediums.
  • Identification and management of risks and ensure program objectives are met and contingency plans are developed, as well as managing project budget and expenditure, including procurement activities and contract management, against agreed deliverable and promptly resolve or escalate any discrepancy promptly.
  • Managing key relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure program objectives are clearly communicated and partnerships are formed and leveraged

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Qualifications and/or experience in Agile project delivery and programs of work (leading data improvement projects) is desirable.
  • Sound understanding of data management standards and frameworks, including data governance, lifecycle and change management, custodianship and modelling is highly desirable.

This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2024
