The Position 

Position Title: Dual Diagnosis Clinical Specialist
Department: Residential Rehabilitation (Dual Diagnosis)
Classification: NP75
Salary per hour (exc. super): $47.50
Hours per fortnight: 80 including ADO
Employment Status: Fixed Term - Full Time

The Clinical Specialist is critical in supporting the day to day clinical leadership and decision making and actively contributes to the overall therapy program design, implementation and clinical practice development activities within the unit. 

You will:

  • In collaboration with key stakeholders, apply your advanced dual diagnosis skills and knowledge to the provision of quality integrated assessment, treatment and care for dual diagnosis patients and uphold best practice evidence based care and recovery standards.

  • Contribute to an appropriately skilled dual diagnosis workforce through modelling best practice therapeutic care, mentoring, and supporting the team with priority clinical operational issues.

  • Support the overall dual diagnosis capability of the team, and positively influence quality patient care and recovery outcomes.

The Team

The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute and mental health services.  We provide a wide range of general medical, surgical and speciality services including; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women’s and Children’s, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics and Mental Health Services.

The Mental Health Service provides psychiatric care and treatment across a large catchment area in Victoria stretching from Swan Hill in the north of the state to Gisborne in the south. Family sensitive practice is central to our models of mental health care and best practice ensures the identification, inclusion and support of families, carers and children.
