About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists within the Centre for Education at Western Health for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join the Clinical Education Team in the Emergency Departments.


This position is permanent part-time 72 hours/fortnight. The role of Emergency Nursing Education Coordinator is a role for an experienced nurse educator who has an interest in educational leadership.


The role requires you to work in a dynamic environment providing educational leadership across the emergency departments.


We are looking for a positive person who is adaptable to change and passionate about education.


Essential Criteria



  • Registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia.

  • Masters qualifications in Education/Advanced Nursing Practice- or working towards.

  • Post-Graduate Qualifications in ED/Critical Care Nursing with at least 4 years’ experience in ED.

  • Recent experience as an ED educator.

  • Excellent leadership qualities with proven ability to effect change.

  • Effective organisational skills, with respect to time management and delegation.

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

  • Highly effective interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the nursing and education health care team.

  • Demonstrated evidence of experience in developing and evaluating education resources.

  • ARC ALS 1/ALS 2 Provider

  • Simulation experience


Desirable Criteria



  • Recently published in journals relating to nursing care in an ED setting.

  • BLSD & ALS Train the Trainer status
