The Department of Justice and Community Safety is currently seeking an Education Supervisor to provide a critical role based at Judy Lazarus Transition Centre and Melbourne Assessment Prison.
About the business unit
Corrections Victoria (CV) is responsible for the management and funding arrangements relating to the delivery of education and training in Victorian prisons. The Prisoner Employment Pathway Framework supports a whole of system integrated approach to education and training. The aim it to increase ex-prisoner employment prospects and access to other socio-economic opportunities which will ultimately contribute to a reduction in the rate at which ex-prisoners reoffend.
About the role
As the Education Supervisor you will assist with the implementation of the Prisoner Employment Pathway Framework by monitoring the provision and delivery of education and vocational training, and supporting the coordination and planning of services for prisoners engaging in VET, industry specific training, and on-the-job training. Where required, you will also support prisoners undertaking Distance Education when transferring to JLTC.

This is a full-time position with the Education Supervisor working across the adjacent locations of Melbourne Assessment Prison (0.4 EFT) and Judy Lazarus Transition Centre (0.6 EFT).

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A tertiary qualification in education, social sciences or criminal justice is desirable.
