The Elective Surgery Project Manager is a role for a professional facilitator who will provide leadership, project management and oversight in the planning, implementation and evaluation of Elective Surgery projects for Perioperative Services at Western Health


The role will be required to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners within and external to Western Heath in order to optimise elective surgery access for patients.


The role will involve the following key components:



  • To implement pathways for appropriate referral of patients, communication and information sharing with private hospital partners.

  • Work on initiatives with the business and service improvement team to maximise our ability to provide timely access to elective surgery for our patients.

  • Engagement of clinicians from across Western Health to ensure they are involved and well informed of processes and pathways as they are developed as a result of improvement initiatives.


The Elective Surgery Project Manager will foster a culture of inclusiveness, flexibility, accountability and innovation. This role will work collaboratively between key stakeholders to implement projects and initiatives that support strategic, and patient focused elective surgery access for all patients.
