What You Will Be Doing

The new Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 will change the way mental health services support Victorians with a mental illness. This role will support effective, consistent and sustained implementation of the new Act across Peninsula Health. Furthermore, the role will assist the service to transition and champion the Act and its underpinning values

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
• Registered Nurse, Social Worker, OT or Clinical Psychologist with relevant registration.
• RPN ONLY: Post graduate qualification in Mental Health or specialist undergraduate Mental Health program.
• Have a strong understanding of the findings and recommendations of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System, and the associated reforms currently being implemented.
• Have relevant experience working within the mental health sector and understand contemporary issues in mental health and clinical practice including for consumers, their families and carers
• Understand the diverse cultural needs of the community and how it should influence the provision of mental health services within the community it serves
