BRHS has an exciting opportunity to join our Registrar training program and gain significant skills and experience provided by a rural placement.   Applicants must have full working rights in Australia and hold general registration or eligibility for provisional registration.

The Position:

This role offers a great opportunity to complete your training supported by a team of highly skilled emergency consultants. You will benefit from exposure to a broad variety of patient presentations including emergency paediatrics. The role is accredited for advanced skills training with both general practice colleges (RACGP and ACRRM) with high exam success rates. BRHS provides weekly emergency medicine education, and supports registrars completing the ACEM Emergency Certificate or Emergency Diploma. Come and enjoy a fantastic work/life balance in the stunning Gippsland Lakes area.   

About Us:

We are a multifaceted and growing regional health system providing a comprehensive array of health care services to the East Gippsland community. The BRHS Medical Services Directorate is comprised of five clinical disciplines (Internal Medicine, General Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, and Surgery) with a strong senior medical workforce enabling the provision of services across a broad spectrum of care. 

Key criteria required:

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (or equivalent)
• AHPRA general registration, or the AMC Part 1 and eligible for provisional registration.
• Minimum 5 years of postgraduate experience in clinical medicine, including extensive experience in Emergency
• Current competence in advanced life support techniques
