The Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Phase 2 Program will be managed by the Digital Health Director as the Program Director. The Director is supported by the Senior Project and Testing Manager and a team of five experienced Project Managers that will lead and support each project stream. Each of the project streams corresponds to a clinical division at Western Health.

The Clinical Informatics Analysts are responsible for providing clinical best practice advice to streamline clinical workflows, to contribute to the optimisation of existing workflows and the design of new workflows at Western Health that will support the implementation, adoption and use of the functionalities of the EMR Phase 2 solutions.


As a successful candidate, you will be a Nurse or Midwife with strong clinical workflow knowledge, business analysis skills and project delivery experiences. You will be a self-starter, a problem solver and have excellent communications and change management skills to support your project stream in delivering the EMR Phase 2 project.


The Clinical Informatics Analyst positions will be required to update and review Data Collection Workbooks, communicate key components of the program to fellow staff, articulate workflows and benefits to clinical peers, and to drive clinical change management and adoption.


The Clinical Informatics Analysts will be required to consult with staff to make a clinically informed recommendation to enable the EMR Phase 2 solutions are fit for purpose and will help provide the highest quality of care possible to patients of Western Health.


At a high level, duties include design, validation and information gathering to support design decisions, workflow creation and evaluating change requests, conducting training, assisting with testing of new functionality, and effectively communicating with clinical users.


While the role is intended to provide a focus of subject matter expertise and support to Nursing and Midwifery staff, there will from time to time be a requirement to provide support to other Western Health staff as required.


These roles are all fixed term, full time. Scheduled start date of these roles is February 2021 with contracts until April 2023.
