What You Will Be Doing

An opportunity exists for an experienced Environmental Services Assistant to join our Support Services Team on a permanent part time basis. The Environmental Services Assistant contributes to a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and staff.

This is a multi-task role. You need to be EXPERIENCED, flexible, competent, able to work without ongoing direct supervision & physically capable of undertaking these demanding responsibilities.

The successful applicant will be well-versed in all aspects of cleaning including floor care, waste removal and general house keeping duties. The ideal candidate will have the ability to take the initiative & respond to changes in cleaning requirements, with ability to prioritise tasks and problem solve. This position also requires the successful applicant to participate in Emergency Management Response, further training will be provided in support of this prerequisite. This position is 75 hours per fortnight on a rotating roster.

What You Need

- Experience in cleaning services either in a commercial or healthcare setting
- A polite and understanding manner when dealing with others
- Take an organised and methodical approach to work
- Understand how individual jobs impact on the work area’s services delivery
- The ability to manage priorities and work with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience or willingness to participate in Emergency Management Response
