We are now recruiting an experienced Environmental Services Assistants at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton


About The Role


Working within acute and continuing care facilities, your main responsibility and accountability is cleaning task outcomes, working within the established procedures in clinical and non-clinical areas. This position is responsible for cleaning a variety of staff break areas Monday to Sunday.



  • Environmental cleaning

  • Bathroom and toilet cleaning

  • Cleaning in specialized areas or project cleaning

  • Waste removal & linen transportation

  • Internal and external detailed cleaning

  • Project and unscheduled cleaning


We are offering 2 shifts (AM and PM)


Morning shift     7.00am to 1.30pm


Afternoon shift  2.00pm to 8.30pm

To be successful for this role you will offer a high standard of customer service along with great attention to detail.


You will also need:



  • Certificate III Health Services Assistance (desirable)

  • Certificate III in Cleaning Operations (desirable)

  • A competent level of verbal & written communication skills

  • Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience within a healthcare setting

  • Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures

  • Ability to work with a cohesive team or individually to complete daily tasks

  • Basic to intermediate digital literacy

  • Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling

  • Current Working with Children’s Check and subject to a clear Police Check

  • A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer service and/or environmental services from a health care or hospitality environment (desirable)

  • Excellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
