About us

The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.

The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year.  The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.

About the role

Working closely with the Executive Director, Family Violence and the broader teams within the Family Violence Branch, the Executive Assistant will lead the administrative management of the Executive Director's Office, coordinating all correspondence and internal administration matters. There is a broad range of liaison interactions with Magistrates, senior managers, heads of other jurisdictions, the legal community and various stakeholders in the administration of justice.

About you

You are experienced in providing high-level executive support and are extremely organised. Providing administrative support comes naturally to you as does working efficiently in busy, high pressure workplaces. 

  • A highly efficient Executive Assistant with experience working in a busy, high pressure environment
  • An engaging communicator with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Well organised, excellent time management skills and ability to act without guidance
