The Executive Director Medical Services & Clinical Governance (Chief Medical Officer) will report directly to the Chief Executive and will provide professional and clinical leadership of the medical workforce across Peninsula Health while contributing to building a supportive, inclusive and highly driven culture. As the clinical public face of the organisation, the role will actively lead the delivery of the strategic plan and establish a framework to deliver on the educational strategy of the organisation. The role will also be responsible for pharmacy, radiology, pathology, quality and clinical governance, infection control, medical work force planning and will play a key role in driving an innovative research portfolio.

As a qualified Medical Practitioner, with additional tertiary qualifications in leadership and administrative management, the Executive Director Medical Services & Clinical Governance (Chief Medical Officer) will ideally have experience as a Medical Director and Executive Administrator. Strong stakeholder engagement will be key to the success of this role in order to lead change and reform in the sector. Additional key attributes will include the ability to provide empowering leadership, be an active member of a supportive executive team, demonstrate compassion, integrity, respect for all and a genuine passion for achieving the best outcomes for staff, consumers and the community.
