This Expression of Interest is open to candidates who are anticipating initial registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife in 2021 and wish to be considered for unmatched/vacant positions post Postgraduate Medical Counsel of Victoria (PMCV) Allocations and Placement Service in the following intakes:

  • Nursing February (8th February 2021 commencement)

  • Nursing August (9th August 2021 commencement)

  • Midwifery February (8th February 2021 commencement)

  • Midwifery August (9th August 2021 commencement)

  • Double Degree February (8th February 2021 commencement)

  • Double Degree August (9th August 2021 commencement)

The Monash Health Graduate Program – All streams include:

  • A twelve month structured program to consolidate your skills

  • Fixed term, 12 month graduate contract

  • Part-time hours (0.84 EFT; 64 hours per fortnight)

  • Five (5) weeks annual leave pro rata over twelve (12) months

  • A comprehensive orientation program conducted in January 2021 for February intakes and in July 2021 for August intakes.

Nursing Streams include two (2) six-month rotations within an extensive range of clinical areas including:

  • Cardiothoracics/Cardiology

  • Emergency

  • Intensive Care

  • Day Treatment Centre

  • Newborn Services and Paediatrics

  • Renal/Haemodialysis

  • Rehabilitation and Residential Care

  • Haematology/Oncology/Palliative Care

  • Orthopaedics

  • Plastic and Vascular

  • Gastroenterology

  • Diagnostic Imagining and Specialty Outpatients

  • Neurosciences

  • Acute Medical/Surgical

  • Peri-Operative

Midwifery and Double Degree Streams include four (4) three-month rotations within a 12-month program;

  • o Two (2) birth suite rotations

  • o Two (2) post/antenatal rotations or one (1) in a Nursing area where Double Degree

Please note, the Double Degree Midwifery/Nursing program stream is currently under review, potential to extend to an eighteen (18) month program commencing in 2021.

As part of your application you will need to submit a copy of your most recent official academic transcript.

3. Clinical Appraisals

Upload your two (2) most recent summative clinical appraisal documents/tools under the ‘Other Documents’ field when you submit your application documentation.

Working with Children’s Check and Fit2Work Police Check

A current ‘Employee’ Victorian Working with Children Check (WWCC) and valid Fit2Work police check is required for all successful graduate applicants. Any offer of employment will be confirmed on the successful outcome of a police check and WWCC.
