An exciting opportunity exists for a Field Services Officer on a full time ongoing basis in Client Support & Housing Services. 

The department provides affordable and secure housing assistance for low-income people across Victoria. We deliver or fund community services organisations to provide emergency and transitional accommodation, longer-term public and community managed housing, private rental assistance, homelessness assistance, home ownership assistance, new forms of social housing and related support services.

Field Services Officers provide technical building advice and expertise to Housing Services Officers, Team Leaders, Team Managers and Managers in relation to the maintenance of public housing properties.

As our ideal candidate, you will be required to demonstrate:

  1. Verbal communication
  2. Planning and organising
  3. Problem solving 
  4. Self management

Mandatory qualifications or requirements for this opportunity include:

  • Recognised trade qualification and/or relevant building experience is required
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the building industry, construction techniques, Conditions of Contract and the principles and practices concerning quality management and quality assurance would be expected
  • A full driver's licence is required.
