Our Financial Audit division is a diverse group of approximately 70 highly motivated audit professionals. You will be part of a supportive team committed to professional excellence that will help you build skills to advance your career.

Auditors and Managers in Financial Audit are collaborative employees with the ability to balance rigour and innovation in their approach to work. They directly contribute to the delivery of financial audits and business improvement projects. They are motivated by the challenge of promoting continuous improvement in the Victorian public sector. 

The vacancies are ongoing and available across all VPS levels.

  • Auditor salary range ($83,333 to 89,661)
  • Senior Auditor salary range ($91,418 to $103,725)
  • Assistant Manager salary range ($105,479 to $116,550)
  • Manager salary range ($116,552 to $127,621)
  • Senior Manager salary range ($129,379 to $151,259)

  

About you

 

  • Effectively communicates, providing clear and accurate explanations and conveying technical concepts in an easily understandable manner to a range of stakeholders
  • Uses initiative and sound judgement when undertaking projects and responding to and/or escalating issues
  • Processes technical concepts comfortably, using analytical skills and professional scepticism to reason through problems
  • Promotes a culture of inquiry by sharing learning and knowledge
  • Uses an adaptive and professional approach when establishing and maintaining relationships
  • Proactively reports emerging issues, risks and opportunities
  • A sound working knowledge of Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards, legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Science, Technology, Economics or Mathematics
  • Holds full professional membership with CPA Australia, CAANZ or the IPA
  • Experience undertaking audits or complex investigations, inquiries or reviews
