A great opportunity has arisen at BRHS for a customer focussed individual with food service/preparation experience to join our dedicated Food Services team and work across a range of areas within the Food Services Department. Applications for additional EFT will be considered.

The Position:

The successful candidates will have a genuine enthusiasm and excellent work ethic to work as part of a team to ensure the provision of a first class food and beverage service to the hospital community.  Applicants are required to be available to work a range of shifts as rostered, across 7 days a week including public holidays as required. 

The Department:

Our Food Services department produces and delivers a range of catering and food services that meet the needs of our patients, aged care residents, clients, visitors and staff.  In addition to our internal patient service, a cafeteria day service is provided to staff and visitors as well as catering for meetings/functions and participation in the local community meals on wheels program.

The successful applicants will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in food preparation and/or service.
  • Current Safe Food Handling Certificate
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety Regulations
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively as part of a cohesive and supportive team.
  • Willingness and ability to provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.
  • Physical capacity to undertake routine lifting and pushing
