An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our Food Services Team. Reporting to the Food Services Manager, the Vegetable Chef will prepare, cook and present a broad range of vegetables for patients, residents and clients according to individual dietary requirements. The successful applicant must ensure that all tasks associated with food production are performed with due regard to food safety regulations and work, health and safety standards.

Key Selection Criteria include:

Essential:

• Experience in a similar role


• Ability to manage and organise own time in order to meet deadlines


• Effective communication skills


• Strong knowledge of food hygiene and cleanliness standards for a Food Services environment (Knowledge of HACCP)


• Demonstrated experience in cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning products within a kitchen environment


• A demonstrated understanding of food and beverage operations


• An appreciation of the importance of nutrition to patient and residential care


• A willingness and ability to work positively within a team environment

Desirable:

• Trade certificate  (chef qualifications)
