We are seeking applications from experienced individuals to join our professional Kitchen team. This casual position is available for an immediate start and includes working as per a roster and any other additional shifts that may be available. This role includes preparing, plating and delivering food and beverages to all patients and clients. The successful applicant will also work in the Kiosk, assisting with all café activities including serving customers, preparing food and beverages, ordering supplies and operating the point of sale system.

Key Selection Criteria include:

Essential:


  • Experience in a similar role
  • Ability to manage and organise own time in order to meet deadlines
  • Effective customer service & communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and cleanliness standards for a Food Services environment (Knowledge of HACCP)
  • Demonstrated experience in cleaning procedures and the use of cleaning products within a kitchen environment
  • A demonstrated understanding of food and beverage operations
  • An appreciation of the importance of nutrition to patient and residential care
  • A willingness and ability to work positively within a team environment
  • Strong organisation and time management skills

Desirable:


  • Food handling certificate
  • Experience with Point of Sales (POS) system
  • Experience as a barista
  • Qualifications in Hospitality
