FOOD SERVICES COORDINATOR – HOSPITALITY SERVICES

Food Services Coordinator

Full Time: 80 hours per fortnight

Classification: HS3

Award: Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Interest Enterprise Agreement 2021 – 2025

We are looking for a full time Food Services Coordinator to be a part of the Hospitality Services team, to help oversee the operations of food services across the three sites (Maryborough, Avoca, Dunolly). This role will report to the Operations Manager – Hospitality Services.

This new position will suit an experienced person or someone who is keen to get into the management side of the industry. The successful candidate will need to have a strong customer service focus, be highly motivated, have good problem solving skills and be able to demonstrate effective negotiation and time management skills.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

 Qualifications / Experience

  1. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or proven experience in a similar role.
  2. Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (willing to achieve certificate)
  3. Proven experience in the supervision of staff in the operations of a Food Services team.
  4. Qualifications in Frontline Management or equivalent (desirable, not essential)
  5. Current driver's licence.

Specialist Expertise

  1. Good level of competency in Microsoft Office programs and other programs utilised by the department.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to problem solve, use initiative and flexibility with a high level of attention to detail.
  3. Excellent understanding of staff rostering and ability to problem solve rostering short falls.

Personal Qualities

  1. Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and time management skills.
  3. Ability to work autonomously and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
