The Greyhound Adoption Program (GAP) is a key component of GRV's animal welfare strategies, providing retired greyhounds the opportunity to become a valued family pet and ensuring GRV is a leading force in the welfare of greyhounds in Victoria.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated Adoption Coordinator to join the Greyhound Welfare and Rehoming (GWAR) department.

The primary purpose of the role is to fully support the GAP Adoption process.

The successful candidate will share responsibility for responding to phone enquiries and ensuring all visitors to GAP sites follow applicable infection control protocols. You will attend prepare adoption packs, update greyhound information online, undertake adoptions, complete adoption paperwork, provide follow up calls post adoption and attend adoption promotions.

The regular days of work for this role are Tuesday to Saturday.

About You

We are seeking an individual who has:

  • Strong customer service focus
  • 2+ years' experience in a busy administrative role with extensive customer contact
  • Ability to effectively work both as part of a small team and alone as required
  • Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated effective customer service skills required, at times in challenging situations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to prepare basic reports
  • Excellent data entry and records management skills
