Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. Austin Health is world-renowned for its research and specialist work in cancer, liver transplantation, spinal cord injuries, neurology, endocrinology, mental health and rehabilitation.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic Advanced Trainee to join our Department of General Medicine commencing in February 2022.

Details of Department

As part of the Central North West Physician Training Consortium, Austin Health and Northern Health have approximately 27 positions available across their campuses plus an additional three positions at Mercy Health, Warringal Private Hospital and Alice Springs Hospital. A variety of six-month rotations are available and rosters are based on College requirements and trainee preferences. We offer a great range of rotations including a wide range of specialty terms to general medical advanced trainees.

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to high quality patient care

  • Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration

  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate at all levels

  • Have current registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - (note - eligible applicants will be assisted through this process if not currently registered)
