About South West Medical Centre

We are located at South West Healthcare's Warrnambool Campus and our workforce consists of five doctors, two nurses and a team of supportive administration professionals.

Our practitioners have a special interest in the areas of but not limited it; general medicine, chronic disease management, diabetes management, weight-loss and bariatric medicine, paediatrics, women's health, adolescent health; and mental health.

South West Medical Centre is a ‘Learning Environment', encouraging all our staff and students to learn from each other. Strong links with both Deakin Medical School and GP Training providers ensures the centre has both teaching and research capability.

About the role

We have two exciting opportunities available for suitably qualified and experienced specialist General Practitioners (GP) to join the team. Both part time and full time capacity positions are available in on an attractive fee split basis.

What you bring

We are looking for dynamic team players, who are able to demonstrate an appropriate level of clinical knowledge and skill, and provide safe, high quality patient care. These positions will work with our interdisciplinary team and will participate in supervision of GP Registrars, interns and/or medical students.

Willingness to work after hours to 8:30pm (once per week) and occasional Sundays (2:00pm – 5:30pm) is required, however there is no on-call.

Applicants must have a relevant medical degree (MBBS or equivalent), current and appropriate registration with the Medical Board of Australia and specialist registration in General Practice with AHPRA. 

A Clinical Lead position may be offered to the right applicant.
