Are you a dedicated and dynamic Occupational Therapist with a passion for acute inpatient care and OT service delivery? We currently have Grade 2 full time permanent ongoing positions available in our dynamic and supportive team. The position sit within the acute general medical and medical specialties stream, delivering Occupational Therapy across Monash Medical Centre & Moorabbin Hospital sites.

About the Role


We are looking for a flexible G2 clinician to join our acute team. You will work collaboratively with inclusive and passionate occupational therapy and allied health staff to provide excellent, evidence-based care for patients and their families/carers across medical, surgical and neurosciences streams. This role is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team providing high quality assessments and intervention for patients within a fast-paced environment.

What we’re looking for in you


Experienced Occupational Therapist with clinical expertise in acute occupational therapy across medical and surgical services. You will have the opportunity to work alongside other experienced and team-focused clinicians in occupational therapy and allied health. The successful candidate will:



  • Demonstrate leadership qualities within OT and multidisciplinary teams

  • Implement clear communication and advocate for best care for the patient

  • Engage patients in the participation of their treatment journey

  • Acknowledge responsibility for own learning

  • Collaborate with others in the development of department resources and research pursuits

What you need:



  • At least 2 years experience providing high quality clinical occupational therpay service to patients in the inpatient setting;

  • Passion for enhancing patient experiences and facilitation of occupational performance;

  • Demonstrated skill in teaching, supervision and promoting the growth and development of staff; 

  • An aptitude for ongoing learning and personal professional development; 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; 

  • A keen interest in evidence-based practice, clinical inquiry, research and service improvement.  


Eligibility for membership of relevant professional association and current Occupational Therapy AHPRA registration are requirement for this role.
