Grade 2 Physiotherapist - Musculoskeletal/Orthopaedics

  • Part Time ongoing position, 48 hours per fortnight
  • Musculoskeletal outpatients with potential to rotate across acute orthopaedics, trauma and ED/SSU
  • Based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital City Campus

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) Physiotherapy service is made up of over 100 staff providing services across the City and Royal Park Campuses. We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and friendly team.

Sitting within the acute orthopaedics team at City Campus, this role will commence in our outpatient musculoskeletal physiotherapy clinic. This position will provide the successful applicant potential opportunities to gain experience in a wide variety of areas across the spectrum of our services, including acute trauma & acute orthopaedic inpatients, ED/SSU, and our growing advanced practice outpatient services.

This role involves the provision of physiotherapy service, supervision and education of student and junior physiotherapists and will be a member of our supportive team of Senior Clinicians. This clinician will be expected to contribute to the education portfolio within the team.

Your new role:

  • Bring your excellent clinical skills to provide high quality patient assessment, treatment and management.
  • Be involved in the supervision and education of student and junior Physiotherapists.
  • Develop your leadership skills in organisational committees and portfolios.
  • Contribute to our innovative research and quality improvement program.

About you:

  • You have significant experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy patient management.
  • You demonstrate a strong ability to develop relationships with relevant team members across allied health, nursing and medical teams.
  • You have well-developed communication skills.
  • You display effective time management and organisational skills.
