Grade 3 Physiotherapist



  • 40 hours per fortnight Fixed Term until June 2023 - commencing now

  • Availability on Tuesdays is essential – other days negotiable

  •  Based at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH): Royal Park Campus and Merri Health


The RMH is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join our Physiotherapy team to support the Back Assessment Clinic (BAC): A physiotherapy and rheumatology led spine triage, assessment, and treatment clinic funded by the Elective Surgery Reform Grant Program.



Your new role:



  • Assess and manage at an advanced level patients with low back pain referred to the Rheumatology, Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery departments.

  • Meet organisational Key Performance Indicators for the Health Service Improvement Grant. 

  • Develop strong relationships with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.


About You:



  • You have clinical experience in spinal pain assessment and management, preferably in the acute or ED environment.

  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills that allow you to build relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.

  • You are highly organised and able to effectively manage competing priorities.

  • You have relevant post graduate qualification or are working toward imminent completion – minimum Masters desirable.
