ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Mercy Mental Health - Allied Health Graduate Program is an integral part of Mercy Health’s commitment to develop our future workforce, and as such, we welcome graduates to join our team to provide compassionate and responsive mental health care to people in need.
We are pleased to offer occupational therapy graduates the opportunity to apply to become part of our Graduate Program that allows time to consolidate their learning in a supported environment. We believe in providing graduates with ongoing support and quality feedback to help them develop their skills, confidence and work towards individual learning goals.
Allied Health graduates rotate through various teams (i.e. acute inpatient, residential, community, etc.), which allows them to gain a breadth of clinical experience in a range of mental health service settings. The aim is to promote educational opportunities to graduates as they consolidate their theoretical and clinical skills. This is a structured program with a comprehensive orientation, paid professional development days, discipline specific clinical supervision and reflective practice sessions.

Mercy Mental Health (South West Area Mental Health Service) is a public mental health service supporting people in south west metropolitan Melbourne with severe and complex mental illnesses by providing acute and community-based care. Services are available to adults through acute inpatient programs, residential rehabilitation programs and crisis and community recovery-focused treatment programs. We also deliver inpatient and community specialist perinatal mental health services to women and infants in western Victoria.
