Grants Administrator

  • $86,558 - $98,210 (Plus Superannuation)

The position of Grants Administrator forms a part of the Working for Victoria.

Reporting to the Manager, Grants Administration, this position will provide administrative support to the Working for Victoria grant management process. As part of the Fund Strategy and Administration team, you will collaborate with the team in assessing grant proposals and executing agreements in accordance with public sector policy and the funds arrangements. An understanding of the grants process and its impact to those receiving funds will help support the administration process, analytical, methodical and problem-solving skills will be an advantage.

This role contributes to the taskforce to help deliver Working for Victoria's economic and job stimulus program aimed at maximising job creation across sectors; administering the Fund and executing grant agreements; managing the Sidekicker platform that facilitates job matching, screening and shortlisting employers and job seekers; and regular reporting to the department executive, the Minister's Offices and strategic communications groups. Most importantly you will be excited by a role that will be instrumental in helping with the establishment of a new Group focussed on building a stronger, fairer and more inclusive Victoria and how we can best set the Group up for success.

The key accountabilities of the role will include:

  • Manage Working for Victoria projects including monitoring and progress of projects to ensure projects are meeting the objectives of the Working for Victoria Fund.
  • Support and manage grant processes across the Working for Victoria Taskforce.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and provide relevant information and advice in relation to issues, identified risks and requirements to ensure appropriate grants management.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes for the Working for Victoria Fund.
  • Assist with preparation and contribute to the quality of complex reports, submissions, briefings and correspondence for diverse stakeholders and senior decision makers.
