Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant- ward 7 South

Austin Campus- Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre

Permanent Full-time and Part-time positions available

Ward 7 South is a dynamic 30 bed unit within the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre. It is comprised of 26 bed haematology and bone marrow transplant beds and 4 endocrinology and rheumatology beds. Patients receive care across all stages of their illness trajectory including a focus on wellness and supportive care. 
About the role: 

As an Austin Health Nurse you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of evidence-based nursing care in designated medical specialties, in order to optimize health outcomes for the community. 

Key responsibilities will see you: 

• Support a philosophy of care, which is patient focused, from admission to discharge, and where the family is welcome in the carers team  
• Ensure the well-being and safety of patients by following the values and principles, which underpin best practice in relation to patient care, education and patient rights  
• Achieve and maintain the skills necessary, through personal professional development, to plan, prioritize and implement holistic patient care

You’ll further have:  

• Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse registration 
• Acute clinical experience and knowledge
