ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Hospital Assistant position is responsible for the internal and external cleaning of the facility and for the preparation and delivery of food services in accordance with prescribed guidelines.

  • Located at Mercy Care Centre Young
  • Casual Vacancies available within the Hotel Services Department
  • This positions may entail shift work, weekend work and public holidays
  • The Hospital Assistant in accordance with Department of Health and Mercy Health Service standards and requirements is responsible for the preparation and delivery of food services for patients, clients residents (PCR), staff and other identified; to ensure the facility is cleaned and maintained in accordance with prescribed routines and in line with infection control guidelines; linen distribution and collection within the facility; and waste collection
  • Provide housekeeping services in line with the Mercy Health Model of Care, ensuring quality resident-focused care utilising a person-centred approach
  • Ensure all areas of the home are thoroughly cleaned and of a high standard at all times
  • Work both autonomously and in a team environment

 ABOUT YOU:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping operations within Healthcare, Aged Care or similar industries
  • Ability to operate in team environment and work autonomously
  • Punctuality and reliability, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care
  • High standard of cleanliness and attention to detail
