The BRHS Medical Department provides services across a broad spectrum of care, including a newly built Medical/Surgical ward containing 34 beds, 2 bariatric beds and a 4 bed High Dependency Unit.  The unit provides care for a large spectrum of medical conditions and post-operative care for gynaecology, urology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, ENT and general surgery patients.  The ward has facilities for cardiac monitoring via both mobile telemetry units and fixed monitors. 

Our Medical team at BRHS is expanding and we are looking for HMO3+ / PGY3+ candidates who are keen to progress their Medical Career.  In this role you will provide high quality assessment and care to inpatients of a broad range of low and high acuity medical patients in conjunction with the multidisciplinary health team with the direction and support of the staff Physicians. This role will provide you with the perfect platform to develop your skills in a supportive environment and enjoy a fantastic work/life balance in the stunning Gippsland Lakes area.   

All applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
• Minimum 3 years of postgraduate experience in clinical medicine, including extensive experience in Internal Medicine or HDU setting (Preferably in Australia)
• Current AHPRA General Registration or eligibility for provisional or limited registration
