As an ICT Support Specialist at MAP Co, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our technology systems. You will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support to our staff, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and conducting routine maintenance tasks. You will also have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, such as system upgrades and network infrastructure enhancements, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our technology systems. In this role, you will have the chance to develop your skills and expertise, and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the industry.

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Providing technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Conducting system upgrades and performing routine maintenance tasks such as updating software, patching operating systems, and ensuring security systems are up-to-date.
  • Monitor the performance of the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and applications, to identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Maintaining an inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software, and tracking asset allocation and lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain documentation of the IT infrastructure, including configuration details, operating procedures, and system diagrams.
  • Manage user accounts, access controls, and permissions, ensuring that only authorized users have access to the appropriate systems and data.
  • Assist in the design and delivery of ICT projects.

 

Your Experience

  • Expertise in providing techincal support and advice and possesses an advanced level of IT proficiency.
  • Demonstrated experience in consistently adopting a security-focused approach to all aspects of work and staying up to date with the latest threats and solutions to protect against them.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and judgement within clearly established procedures and/or guidelines to find positive solutions in response to identified needs.
  • Strong customer service focus and be able to provide support in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce understandable end-user facing documentation.
  • Awareness of emerging technologies, driven by a curious and proactive nature that keeps them up-to-date and able to leverage new advancement.
  • Being open-minded and flexible, readily adapt to changes and actively support them with a positive attitude.
  • Knowledge of audio-visual technologies advantageous

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology preferred.
