About The Role
Monash Health Imaging (MHI) provides diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology services to Monash Medical Centre Clayton, Moorabbin Hospital, Dandenong and Casey Hospitals, and Monash Children's Hospital. The Monash Health Imaging Department is fully integrated with Philips PACS/RIS and equipped with some of the latest medical imaging technology including seven MRI units, eight CT units, more than 25 ultrasound units, six gamma cameras (including three with SPECT CT), two PET/CTs, and three Angiography suites for Interventional Radiology and Neurointerventional Radiology. Monash Health Imaging also supports the Monash Biomedical Imaging site, one of the Monash University platforms that provides capacity and capability for human MRI and PET MRI research.
Together with the Monash University Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, Monash Health Imaging is currently the largest research department in Australia as measured by research funding and number of publications. The Monash Health Imaging service provides over 365,000 imaging examinations per year across all sites, currently employs approximately 500 EFT.
The Imaging program clearly defines its mission as the delivery of leading edge, evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services, and research and education that meets the needs of our community and employees.
Our proposed vision is to relentlessly pursue excellence, be a beacon within imaging, and be the prime provider and destination of choice for our community, referrers, researchers, educational institutions, employees, and students.
We are now looking to appoint a Level 3 Research Nurse to partner with us and support the future growth and direction of our program.
Monash Health Imaging is embarking on a journey to grow radiology-led research and be guided in our performance by clear research objectives and measurable key results. For both we are in strong need for an experienced and data-driven Research Nurse.
