About the facility 


Barwon Health is the major regional health provider for the Barwon South West region. It is one of Victoria’s largest regional health services with one of the busiest hospitals in the state, University Hospital. We serve over 500,000 people through the efforts of over 8,000 staff and more than 1200 volunteers. We provide care at all stages or life and circumstance through a wide range of services from emergency and acute to mental health, primary care, community services, aged care, and subacute/rehabilitation. Care is provided to the community through over 28 key locations throughout the region.


Safety and Quality


Barwon Health's Safety and Quality unit provides support to the organisation in the areas of accreditation, incident and complaint management, clinical audit, risk management, policy and procedure management, medico-legal services and Consumer Centred Care.


About the role


As the Improvement Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating, supporting and facilitating quality improvement projects and activities across Barwon Health in association with the Improvement and Innovation Lead. This includes planning, developing, monitoring and maintaining comprehensive project plans, data bases, resources and budgets associated with assigned quality improvement activities. The position is responsible for developing and implementing effective communications associated with quality improvement across Barwon Health and establishing and maintaining productive relationships with key stakeholders.  Barwon Best Care Awards and Barwon Health entries into Victorian Public Health Care Awards is coordinated by the position.
