The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Industry Supervisor - Landmate to provide a critical role at Hopkins Correctional Centre within Corrections Victoria.
About the Business Unit
Corrections Victoria (CV), a business unit of the Department of Justice and Community Services (DJCS), develops programs for the rehabilitation of prisoners. It seeks to provide prisoners with the opportunity to reduce reoffending behaviours by participating in education, training, and work programs.
Landmate operates as a commercial enterprise under the umbrella of Corrections Victoria Prison Industries (CVPI). Prisoner work crews provide environmental management works on public and private land, disaster recovery work, and work that supports local communities. About the Role
The supervisor also oversees the prison horticulture industry that is expanding to include a hydroponic vegetable production industry supplying the prison kitchen.
