Infection Prevention Clinical Consultant

Latrobe Regional Hospital have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced registered nurse to join the Gippsland Region Public Health Unit (GRPHU) team on an Part-Time, Fixed Term basis.

Reporting to the Operations Leadership at GRPHU, this role plays an important role in providing, developing, and coordinating multi-disciplinary activities relating to the prevention, control and monitoring of communicable disease across the Gippsland region.

The successful applicant will:

• Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of infection prevention and control in all aspects of role and across various settings.


• Be able to effectively communicate, negotiate and apply problem solving skills.


• Develop and strengthen working relationships/ partnerships with key organisations, agencies and groups, including community members for the benefit of improved population health outcomes.
