Information Systems Manager

Your new team

VIDRL, one of the services of the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH), is a public health laboratory specializing in infectious diseases and is part of the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity (the Doherty). VIDRL provides laboratory services for the Department of Health Victoria, Victorian hospitals and clinics, the Commonwealth Department of Health, and the World Health Organisation


The information systems team at VIDRL is responsible for the delivery of business as usual activities critical to VIDRL’s pathology services.  

  • We are team working together to ensure VIDRL’s scientific work and regulatory activities are optimally supported

  • You will help us achieve a high quality service for the Victorian DHS, clients and tertiary hospitals

  • In return, you will be supported to provide excellent public health outcomes for the state of Victoria

Your new role 

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership of the service to ensure VIDRL information systems are fit for purpose, optimally maintained, stable and disaster proof

  • Deliver new and  innovative projects which support the strategic plan of the organisation

  • Maintain IT hardware, software and networks

  • Ensure business continuity plans and IT disaster recovery strategies are current
