Austin Health is the major provider of tertiary health services, health professional education and research across 3 campuses in the northeast of Melbourne and state-wide. An opportunity has become available for two Grade 5 experienced Instrument Technicians to join our Austin and Repatriation CSSD in a capacity of the CSSD Educator.

The role of the educator is to ensure all staff involved in the reprocessing of re-usable medical devices within CSSD and Endoscopy are trained and competent in accordance with AS/NZS 4187:2014

CSSD Educator Permanent Full Time and Part time Grade 5 Instrument technician  (Monday to Friday)

The successful candidate will have;

•           Certificate 4 in sterilizing Services

•           Certificate 4 in training and assessment

•           At least 5 years’ experience in all aspects of sterilizing services

•           Knowledge of AS/NZS4187-2014 standards

•           Demonstrated ability to use clinical information systems

•           Well-developed written skills

•           Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills

•           Relevant computer skills including power point presentation, and excel

•           Ability to assist and support the implementation of quality and change management

              initiatives and clinical projects.
