About the Role:

Are you a skilled leader in IT infrastructure and operations looking for a new challenge?

CFA is seeking a dynamic individual to take on the exciting Manager IT Infrastructure & Operations role. This is a leadership position reporting directly to the CIO. You will contribute to the reshaping of our ICT operating model and drive ICT value delivery to our volunteers and staff.

As the Manager IT Infrastructure & Operations, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to Infrastructure, Networks, Web Services, Technical Services, and IT Desktop Support teams. You will use your expertise in ITIL Service Management Support and Delivery to ensure that agreed service levels are met and that all programs and activities are delivered within time and budget requirements.

In addition to these technical responsibilities, you will be a key driver of change within the organization. You will set specific goals for the team, build and develop their capabilities, and maximize their potential to meet current and future challenges. Your leadership will be critical in ensuring that CFA has the capacity to meet the evolving needs of our volunteers and staff.

Further, detailed responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership in the application of industry standard best practice frameworks in the provision of IT Services and compliance with appropriate legislation and policy
  • Lead the development of specific IT Systems Management processes and policy documents relating to access levels, back-office systems and specific application support
  • Provide strategic and specialist advice on Information Technology security issues
  • Oversee the management and administration of mission-critical databases, application software and hardware
  • Provide specialist technical advice into systems capacity and strategic growth planning, including investigation of new technology

 

About You:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or relevant discipline and / or extensive experience undertaking a similar role in a large and complex organisation
  • Proven experience in providing strategic leadership and direction to high performing multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and implementing service level agreements
  • Substantial experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and associated projects or initiatives to achieve organisational priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills with the ability to successfully consult, influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Highly developed and demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive knowledge of ICT digital technologies and their application in corporate environments and understanding of current ICT best practice and solutions/technologist.  
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and liaising with vendors/service providers with proven ability in building collaborative working relationships
