Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of a team that will play a critical role in delivering significant early childhood reforms at the local level?

Early Childhood Improvement Branches deliver significant Victorian Government early childhood initiatives. Within the Branch, Kindergarten Improvement Advisors will work collaboratively with kindergarten services through reflective discussion, advice and support to improve the quality and capability of funded kindergarten services. 

The main purpose of this role is to advise, support and build the capacity of funded kindergarten services to continuously improve service quality, particularly through the implementation of school readiness funding and subsidised Three-Year-Old Kindergarten.  You will have experience in an educational context, with a strong understanding of the early childhood education and care system.  The role will actively seek to provide high quality opportunities for early childhood professionals to work and learn together.  You will need to draw on past experience and knowledge in an early learning context, administration of early childhood services and curriculum delivery.  

To be successful in this role you should have excellent interpersonal, negotiation and analytical skills, and possess a strong understanding of quality pedagogical practices. 

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or postgraduate qualifications in Education - Early Childhood
  • Recent relevant experience in an early childhood setting or have other clearly relevant and transferable knowledge and skills

Work Location: Belmont Office, Barwon, South Western Victoria Region

Time Fraction: 0.8 FTE, part time - ongoing
