An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Medical Scientist to join as Lab Manager of our Echuca Laboratory.


The Laboratory Manager is responsible for the organization and supervision of all aspects of the day to day operations and scientific work performed in the Echuca Laboratory.  The role therefore extends from managing a team of people to perform their work accurately and efficiently, to managing stock and consumables, to ensuring that Quality Assurance systems and documentation are maintained in line with the relevant NPAAC guidelines


As the Laboratory Manager, one must be a widely experienced scientist with sound knowledge and skills relating to an extensive range of diagnostic tests and procedures.  At this level the incumbent is expected to have achieved a high level of performance and a commitment to professional development.


The Laboratory Manager reports directly to the Regional Manager for operational matters as well as developing strong working relationships with the discipline specific subject matter experts / Principal Scientists and Pathologists based at Austin Hospital.
