Lawyer, Regulatory and Advisory

  • Annual Salary Range: $90,067 - $102,192 per annum plus superannuation
  • Tenure: Full-Time Fixed Term (24 months)
  • Usual Work Location: Kew (flexibility may be available)

About the Opportunity

The role will support the interactions between DoT and the VicRoads joint venture partner, providing legal advice on commercial/contractual, operational and regulatory compliance matters, and conducting litigation. Acting under supervision, the Lawyer is expected to deliver high quality client service and timely, clear and pragmatic legal advice and related services.

About You

  • You have been admitted as a lawyer in Victoria and holds (or is entitled to hold) a practising certificate.
  • You have experience providing advice on legal issues on matters such as compliance with legislative or contractual requirements administrative decision-making, and privacy and data sharing.
  • You will have excellent attention to detail and a thorough discipline approach to identifying and resolving compliance issues.
  • You will have demonstrated research and analytical skills with the ability to contribute to the management of strategies for legal matters and support the delivery of robust and viable solutions. 
  • A commercial approach and an ability to articulate and negotiate effectively
