The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve Victorian's experience of doing business and interacting with the government.

DGS brings together Digital Victoria, Service Victoria, Local Government Victoria, Consumer Affairs Victoria, the grant program centre and consolidates procurement policy as well as the Working with Children Checks and Births, Deaths and Marriages. Oversight of Cenitex and the Public Record Office Victoria.

The Common Corporate Platforms (CCP) program team, within Digital Victoria, will deliver modern, cloud-based platforms and process consolidation across Whole of Victorian Government (WOVG) functions for Human Resources, Procurement and Finance.  The Lead Business Analyst will work within the CCP Program team to lead, shape, manage and coordinate the business analysis elements of the three-stream platform rollout.

This role will:

  • engage with stakeholders through varied mediums to educate and build trust to achieve outcomes
  • provide a point of leadership, advice and expertise for departments and stakeholder
  • analyse and understand the needs of the business in order to provide the best options and recommendations.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you will possess:

  • proven experience in a Lead Business Analyst role
  • excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with ability to build confidence to accept your advice and recommendations
  • sound decision making ability, with strong analytical skills
  • track record in delivery of project outcomes and understanding of project management
  • ideally experience within a consultative role.
