Seeking qualified clinician to join our growing CAMHS 0-11 team, working innovatively to build our expanding service system.
From the Royal Commissioners final report into Victoria’s Mental Health System a series of structural, clinical and cultural reforms are being implemented. One major reform is to create Local Mental Health and Wellbeing Services which will provide treatment, care and support for those experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns. Bendigo region was selected as one of the first of three to develop and commence operating the Infant, Child and Family Health and Wellbeing Hubs. CAMHS (tier 5 – previously tertiary) will be part of care delivered to this new tier 4 service within the broader 6-tier mental health system. With a focus on families of children aged 0-11years, the hubs offer fully integrated paediatrics, mental health and family services within the one service. Where families in need of receiving services can access these all in the one place.
The Position

Classification:NP81 – NP74, YC42 – YC45, YB20 – YB23
Salary per hour (exc. super): $42.82 - $54.26
Hours per fortnight: up to 80

Role Description
Successful applicants will be a valued member of the multidisciplinary team, working across both CAMHS and the Hub programs. CAMHS are seeking a clinician with commitment to reflective practice & ongoing professional development. Utilising your skills in assessment and clinical observation, offering family sensitive practice, you will work therapeutically with both individuals and families, as well as offer a group parenting program. You will collaborate closely with other services to provide treatment and care to infants and children who are experiencing emotional, social and/or behavioural challenges. Clinicians will facilitate seamless referral between the services. Working within a culture of reflection and learning, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the programs.

The Team
CAMHS is a community based, multidisciplinary team that works with children and adolescents 0 - 18 years who are displaying serious emotional, relationship, personal care or behavioural disturbances that impact on family and social relationships and/or their functioning in home, school or the workplace.While based out of JBC in Bendigo, CAMHS staff are also located at four regional locations across the Loddon-Campaspe, Southern Mallee region.
