Mercy Hospitals Victoria Ltd Learning Team is committed to providing quality education by promoting excellence in professional practice through empowering Nurses and Midwives in the public health sector. The Lead Educator for the Women’s and Children’s Program plays an integral role in leading and influencing quality education and professional development to build our future workforce.

  • Permanent full time position, Grade 5 Nursing and Midwifery Lead Educator: Women’s and Children’s
  • Key leadership position working across Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg and Werribee Mercy Hospital
  • Expert clinical advisor for educational strategies related to Women’s and Children’s
  • Develop and implement educational strategies for maternity and neonatal education programs
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning Manager and other Nursing Lead Educators to support clinical staff education and training (Undergraduate, Graduate and Post Graduate)              

ABOUT YOU: Are you a senior educator who is passionate about affecting change through developing staff skill sets to improve patient outcomes? Are you outcomes driven and do you have skills to manage and provide oversight for strategy? Bring your expertise to our award winning organisation

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse and Midwife or Midwife with AHPRA
  • Post registration qualification in education required
  • Experience in leadership and management including the ability to lead, coach, and mentor a team
  • Advanced skills in educational design and implementation
  • Knowledge of contemporary nursing and midwifery workforce challenges and practices
