About Monash Health Fertility
In May 2019 an Independent Review of Assisted Reproductive Treatment by Michael Gorton AM (Gorton Review) recommended to “improve access, affordability and equity through provision of public fertility services”. Subsequently, in late 2022, Monash Health Fertility (MHF) was established to provide comprehensive reproductive healthcare services across east and southeast Victoria. In the immediate term, high level Assisted Reproductive Treatment (ART) is provided in partnership with private provider, City Fertility. Further to this, in line with capital build and infrastructure development, all ART will be brought onsite at Monash Health Fertility’s comprehensive fertility care centre.

About The Role
The Lead Fertility Counsellor is responsible for the management of counselling (fertility and genetic) services within the Fertility Service and leading and developing a team of professionals committed to the highest quality standards. They are also responsible for the training, competency, and supervision of all fertility counsellors involved, and are an active participant in the delivery of specialist counselling services for patients and families undertaking fertility treatment.??
Together with the multidisciplinary leadership team, the Lead Fertility Counsellor ensures a timely, well-coordinated and patient centred fertility service for the east and southeast Victorian population.
This is a newly created, full time, ongoing position working Monday to Friday with opportunity to job share.
