About Us
Fines and Enforcement Services (FES) is a division within the Police, Fines and Crime Prevention group at the Department of Justice and Community Safety. FES is responsible for managing the end-to end infringements system in Victoria and includes the Director, Fines Victoria and the Sheriff's Office of Victoria.
About the Role
As a member of the FES Legal and Commercial Services team, the Legal Officer will provide legal and commercial advice on a wide range of commercial, administrative and public law issues as well as litigation matters.
The Legal Officer will work closely with teams across FES to support the resolution of complex legal issues. Working in a complex and busy environment, this position requires the ability to operate with sound judgment and commercial acumen while managing competing priorities. This hands-on role provides the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to measures aimed at ensuring the Victorian fines system is effective and offers fair and equitable pathways for vulnerable Victorians.
