This is a great opportunity for suitable individual to join the Lifestyle Team, working as a Lifestyle Assistant in a casual role! In this position, you will support the Lifestyle team in providing a range of individual, group and community activities for residents and participants.

This is a great opportunity for suitable individual to join the Lifestyle Team, working as a Lifestyle Assistant in a casual role! In this position, you will support the Lifestyle team in providing a range of individual, group and community activities for residents and participants.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications / Experience

  1. Certificate IV or higher in Leisure & Health or Diversional Therapy (Desirable), Minimum Cert III in Aged Care (PCA) and willing to undertake studies in Leisure and Health or equivalent
  2. Annual Basic Life Support Certificate.
  3. Experience in Residential Aged Care is desirable.

Specialist Expertise

  1. Highly developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, carers, staff and others.
  2. Knowledge of the Montessori philosophy or equivalent resident-centred care program and how this changes the provision of care to residents.
  3. Ability to utilise computer software, particularly use of the Microsoft Office© suite.
  4. Demonstrate an ability to develop and review Resident Care Plans.
  5. Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
